Motion of the Council of Allegheny County authorizing the President of Council to provide for the conduct of a public hearing, pursuant to Article 3.C. of the Rules of Council.

The purpose of this hearing is to allow the public opportunity to offer comment on senior housing and safety within Allegheny County.
The public hearing authorized pursuant to the terms of this motion shall be scheduled for September 24, 2026 in the Gold Room, located on the fourth floor of the Allegheny County Courthouse. The public hearing shall be scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. Written testimony will also be accepted through October 1, 2026.
The Members of Council that are committed to attend this hearing include Council Members Walton, Filiaggi, and Naccarati-Chapkis. Council Member Walton shall preside over the hearing.
Upon passage of this motion, the President shall take appropriate steps to provide for security for the public hearings and to provide for transcription of testimony given.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS MOVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY,
that the President of Council is hereby authorized to provide for the conduct of a public hearing, pursuant to Article 3.C. of the Rules of Council and as described in this motion. All other provisions of this motion shall be appropriately administered.
