An Ordinance of the County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to allow King Street Productions, Inc. to use certain County-owned real and personal property in connection with the filming a Television Series.

Whereas, King Street Productions, Inc. (hereinafter the “Production Company”) is filming a Television Series in Allegheny County currently referred to as “Mayor of Kingstown, Season 5” (hereinafter the “Television Series”); and
Whereas, the Production Company has requested permission to use certain County-owned real property including North Park, South Park, the Allegheny County Courthouse and such other sites as mutually agreed and certain personalty owned by the County (collectively the “County Property”) in connection with filming the Television Series; and
Whereas, the County of Allegheny (hereinafter the “County”) is willing to allow the Production Company to film the Television Series on County Property and at such other County locations as mutually agreed, subject to a location agreement that will govern the Production Company’s use of the County Property and will provide specific protections for the County; and
Whereas, Article IV, Section 2(k) of the Allegheny County Home Rule Charter vests County Council with the power and duty by ordinance to lease or permit the use of County real and personal property; and
Whereas, County Council deems it in the public interest to permit the Production Company to use the County Property in connection with filming the Television Series subject to the conditions set forth herein; and
The Council of the County of Allegheny hereby enacts as follows:
SECTION 1. Incorporation of the Preamble.
The provisions set forth in the Preamble to this Ordinance are incorporated by reference in their entirety herein.
SECTION 2. Authorization for the Use of County Real and Personal Property.
