Motion of the Council of Allegheny County authorizing the President of Council to provide for the conduct of four public hearings, pursuant to Article 3.C. of the Rules of Council.

The purpose of these hearings is to allow the public opportunity to offer comment on proposed Bill No. 13892-26, which provides for regular reassessment of properties located within Allegheny County. All Rules of Council relating to public comments offered at public hearings shall be in effect at each of the hearings authorized herein. Written testimony will also be accepted through July 10, 2026.
Scheduling for the public hearings authorized herein shall be at locations on Community College of Allegheny County campuses, as follow:
May 6, 2026, 5:30 PM, CCAC South Campus Theatre, 1750 Clairton Road, West Mifflin, PA 15122;
June 3, 2026, 5:30 PM, CCAC Boyce Campus Auditorium, 595 Beatty Road, Monroeville, PA 15146;
June 16, 2026, 5:30 PM, CCAC West Hills Center, Room S1308, 1000 McKee Road, Oakdale, PA 15071;
July 1, 2026, 5:30 PM, CCAC North Campus, Room 3002, 8701 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
The Members of Council that are committed to attend these hearings include: President Catena, Vice President Palmiere, and Council Members Grzybek, Filiaggi and Naccarati-Chapkis. Council Member Filiaggi shall preside over all of the hearings.
Upon passage of this motion, the President shall take appropriate steps to provide for security for the public hearings and to provide for transcription of testimony given.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS MOVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY,
that the President of Council is hereby authorized to provide for the conduct of four public hearings, pursuant to Article 3.C. of the Rules of Council and as described in this motion. All other provisions of this motion shall be appropriately administered.
