Motion of the Council of Allegheny County authorizing the President of Council to provide for the conduct of a public hearing, pursuant to Article 3.C. of the Rules of Council.

The purpose of this hearing is to allow the public opportunity to offer comment on proposed Bill No. 13892-26, which provides for regular reassessment of properties located within Allegheny County. All Rules of Council relating to public comments offered at public hearings shall be in effect at the hearing authorized herein. Written testimony will also be accepted through August 7, 2026.
The public hearing authorized pursuant to the terms of this motion shall be scheduled for July 29, 2026 at the Wilkinsburg Borough Building, located at 605 Ross Ave., Wilkinsburg, PA 15221. The public hearing shall be scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
The Members of Council that are committed to attend this hearing include Council Members Walton, Filiaggi, Palmiere, and Naccarati-Chapkis. Council Member Filiaggi shall preside over the hearing.
Upon passage of this motion, the President shall take appropriate steps to provide for security for the public hearings and to provide for transcription of testimony given.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS MOVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY,
that the President of Council is hereby authorized to provide for the conduct of a public hearing, pursuant to Article 3.C. of the Rules of Council and as described in this motion. All other provisions of this motion shall be appropriately administered.
